where has the time gone?

Wow, it's been a while. A long while.
This happened....

And this...

then some of this...

I want to go back. Forever.

But life goes on. People ask "How's married life?" Well, when you already have a child, not much changes other than your last name and tax filing status. But life has been trucking along same as it always does.

So I have been toying with ideas of what to talk about now that the wedding is over. Since blogs are essentially a public diary, I guess I will continue to just give my opinion on whatever interests me. Shocker. So as of late, food and health have been interesting me. I think I have tried over a hundred diets and none have been very successful. I'm sure the common denominator in all that has been me though. I start a diet all gung ho, then I remember that food is delicious and (for me) should be more than just a thing to keep you alive. I mean, I did marry a chef, and he spoils me rotten. Since he seems to not notice his genius, I will just take this space to brag on him. Here are just a few things he's made and I was lucky enough to enjoy...

the man at work.

magic pizza. i don't even remember all of the deliciousness on this.

pasta and sauce from scratch

fake thanksgiving

bolognese. you have no idea how delish this is.

So yeah. Its his fault none of these crazy diets work. I plan to basically use this as a place to brag on my husband I guess. I need to work on my photos-of-food taking abilities. These pictures don't even do it justice. If he will humor me, I will try to get him to give me some recipes to put on here as well. Wish me luck.

inviting ideas...

I chatted with my mamala tonight and we've come to the conclusion that I need to focus in a bit on the style of the wedding. (shocker? I think not) Travis and I are all over the place about the colors we like, how we want our invites to look, etc. So once again here are a few bits I think are fab.
Echo Letterpress made this little guy...

I love it because we have decided on BBQ for dinner at the reception. I love how the background looks like a table cloth. So cute.

Then I found this one at Cheree Berry...

I love how sweet and romantic the names are at the top. Perhaps I will make one of my own in my handwriting and use it on the invites some how?

Also, if you haven't checked out what Mr. Boddington has to offer, do it now. I love the whole kit and kaboodle this company has to offer. I mean, honestly, I get really excited imagining an entire home like this. Here are a few of my favies...

My favorite design is called Mr. Parrish, but I just couldn't find a picture to put up. You get the idea. I love the romantic script again. I am also diggin' on the silhouettes. I don't think it's possible for a lefty like myself to ever have beautiful handwriting like this.

I also like how personalized the invitations at Envelopments are. We were a fan of this design...
